Anna C. Howard

Anna C. Howard, 95, of Salamanca, died Wednesday February 5, 2025, at Bradford Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

Born June 23, 1929 in Salamanca, she was the daughter of the late Edward T. and Nellie B. Turner Jones. On June 27, 1946, in Salamanca, she married Ronald M. Howard Sr., who predeceased her in 2016.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School and Jamestown Community College and worked in the accounting field. She also served as church treasurer at the House of Prayer and the Salamanca Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking, cake decorating, and arranging flowers.

Surviving are: two daughters, Valerie (Anthony) Van Campen and Laura Howard; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Howard; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by: a son Ronald M. Howard Jr.; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Howard; sisters, Elizabeth Gibbs, Martha Jones, Clara Jones, Helen Coleman, and Linda Cook; brothers, Leroy Sy Jones, Harold Jones, and Leslie Field; as well as beloved stepfather, Raymond Field.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
