Brenda Wheeler, age 53, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, 318 West State Street, Salamanca, New York died Monday morning, November 3, 2008 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York following a long battle with cancer.
Born on October 31, 1955 in Cuba, New York she was the daughter of the Carl Auge, Salamanca, New York and the late Grace Smith Auge. She was married to Donald Wheeler of Franklinville, New York who survives.
Brenda was a graduate of Ten Broeck Academy, Franklinville, New York. Class of 1973.
She was employed by the Salamanca Central School as a Bus Driver for 24 years.
Brenda enjoyed flowers and spending time with family, friends, and her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her father are: a daughter, Lynn (Thomas "TJ") Brol, Franklinville, New York; son Chad (Jody) Wheeler, Salamanca, New York; a devoted companion, Thomas Story, Salamanca, New York; 2 sisters, Norma (Mike) Reed, Salamanca, New York, Marilyn (Joe) Conlan, Salamanca, New York; a brother, Don (Tammy) Auge, Great Valley, New York; 3 grandchildren, Benjamin Brol, Franklinville, New York, Jordyn and Dylan Wheeler, both of Salamanca, New York; several nieces an nephews; special friends, Jackie Bialaszewski and Sharon Burlin.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Brayden Brol.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Piotr Zaczynski, pastor of Our Lady of Peace officiating .
Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
