Carlton "David" Farmer

Carlton "David" Farmer Sr., age 62, of Orchard Street, Salamanca New York, died Sunday, August 14, 2011, at the VA Hospital in Buffalo, New York.

Born July 21, 1949, in Canada, he was the son of the late Jake Farmer. He was married to the former Marge Cooper Farmer, who predeceased him in April 2010.

Mr. Farmer was employed as a Sanitation Manager for the Seneca Nation of Indians in Salamanca, New York. He had owned Native American Window Cleaners in Buffalo and Salamanca, New York.

He was an enrolled member of the Six Nations, Canada.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #1587 in the Cattaraugus Territory.

Surviving are one son, Carlton (Judy) Farmer, of Salamanca; two stepchildren, Michael (Laura) Bevan, of Buffalo, and Christopher Bevan of Salamanca; six grandchildren; two sisters, Fay General, of Six Nations, Florence Farmer, St. Catharine's, Ontario; and a brother, Harry Farmer, of St. Catherine's, Ontario.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Leslee Farmer.

Friends may call at the family home, 56 Orchard Street, Salamanca all day Wednesday, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Marvin Abrams of the Jimersontown Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven, Steamburg, NY, at the convenience of the family.
