Carol Crouse Ninham, age 65, of 8 North Loop, Steamburg, New York died Sunday morning, June 20, 2010 at her home following a long illness.
Born on May 2, 1945 in Jamestown, New York she was the daughter of the late E. Robert & Ruby Miller Crouse. She was married on February 2, 1985 in Buffalo, New York to Mr. Robert Ninham Sr. who predeceased her.
Mrs. Ninham worked for Youth Services in Monroe County prior to her retirement.
Carol loved her Buddhist Practice and chanting NAM-MYOHO-RENGE-KYO everyday for world peace. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading and chatting with family & friends.
Surviving are: 2 sisters, Karen Crouse (David Price), Irving, Texas, Lois Martin (Robert Davey), Niagara Falls, New York; 2 brothers, Gary (Brenda) Crouse Sr., Jamestown, New York, Angus “Bing” (Barbara) Martin, Brantford, Ontario; 2 special sons, Bob (Donna) Henhawk , Six Nations Reserve, Ontario, Peter (Dana) Kozlowski, Randolph, New York; several nieces, nephews, & cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Ninham Sr., 2 brothers, William M. Miller and Robert K. Miller.
There will be no visitation.
A Buddhist Memorial Service will be held at the SGI-USA Community Center, 121 W. Tupper Street, Buffalo, New York at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to SGI-USA 7 East 15th Street, NY, NY 10211-0456 or the SGI-USA Community Center in Buffalo, New York.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
