Carolyn R. Baker, age 80, of East Main Road, Fredonia, New York died Wednesday evening, January 2, 2013 at Hamot medical Center in Erie, PA.
Born on October 24, 1932 in Warsaw, New York she was the daughter of the late Harry & Vilona English Farrington. She was married to Orrin C. Baker who predeceased her.
Mrs. Baker was employed at AT&T as an operator in Amherst, New York for 25 years prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the Cherry Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the organ, reading and her greatest joy were her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are: 3 daughters, Wanda (Jeff) Hanson, New Hampshire, Cindy (Ron) Tucholski, Virginia Beach, VA, Rosemary McClune, Kent Blvd., Salamanca, New York; a son, Bruce (Patty) Hawkins, Dunkirk, New York; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Eldon (Roxanne) Farrington, Batavia, New York; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Holly Beaman, 2 sisters, Dorothy Hamilton and Ethel Eberman.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Sunday from noon to 2 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Robert Goode, pastor of House of Prayer, officiating.
Burial will be in Protection Cemetery, South Wales, New York at the convenience of the family.
