Christopher J. Bevan

Christopher J. Bevan, 52, of Salamanca, NY died Wednesday evening, March 29, 2023 at home following a short illness.

Born April 8, 1970 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Barry E. Bevan and Marjorie Cooper Farmer.

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Heron Clan.

Christopher was a graduate of McKinley High School, Class of 1988 and had received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Berkley.

He had been employed as a renowned cake decorator in California for over ten years and taught the skill to many before coming back to the Salamanca Area.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, cooking, baking, sewing, and doing beadwork.

Surviving are: a son, Michael who resides in the United Kingdom; a brother, Michael (Laura) Bevan, Buffalo, NY; several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by a sister, Leslee Farmer, and a brother, Carlton Farmer.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10am with members of the Coldspring Longhouse officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
