Debra Lynn Pierce
Debra Lynn Pierce, 56, of Little Valley, New York died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pennsylvania following a brief illness.
Born August 25, 1959 in Olean, New York, she was the daughter of George Brown of Salamanca and the late Shirley Bullock Brown, who predeceased her in 2008. She was married in 1988 to Richard Pierce, who predeceased her in 1999.
She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1977.
She had been employed with Peterson Trucking for the last three years. Previously, she and her late husband had owned and operated Napoli Trucking. She also owned and operated her own truck for over 10 years.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson.
Surviving besides her father are: a daughter, Brandy Pierce, Little Valley, NY; a grandson, Richard “Ricky” Sprester, Edinboro, PA; two brothers, Gregory Washburn, Salamanca, NY, Christopher (Colleena) Brown, Little Valley, NY; two sisters, Margo Washburn, Salamanca, NY, Lisa (James) Kinney, Coudersport, PA; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Brooke Pierce in 2001.
Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday from 5 – 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 12 p.m. with Rev. Karen M. Cleveland of the East Leon Wesleyan Church officiating.
