Ellie Pierce

Ellie Jean Pierce, age 16, of 3446 Center Road, Jimersontown died Wednesday evening, June 13, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born August 25, 1990 in Olean, New York she was the daughter of Rodney Pierce, Jimersontown, New York and Joni Brooks, Salamanca, New York.

Ellie was a student at Salamanca Central High School where she was a Varsity basketball Cheerleader, she played basketball and she was on the track team.

She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, the Snipe Clan, Seneca Youth Council, and the Coldspring Longhouse. She participated in Native American Dancing and competed at various POW WOW & events. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Surviving besides her parents are: 5 sisters, Holly Jo Pierce, Syracuse, New York, Joleen Pierce, Keri Pierce, both of Killbuck, New York, Jennifer Pierce, Salamanca, New York, Jasa Brooks, Syracuse, New York; a brother Clifford Pierce, Salamanca, New York; maternal grandmother, Marlene Brooks, Carrollton, New York, paternal grandmother, Carolyn Brant, Salamanca, New York.

Friends may call Thursday evening and all day Friday at the home of Rodney Pierce, 3446 Center Road, Jimersontown, New York.

Funeral services will begin at the family home on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. followed by services in the Coldspring Longhouse, Steamburg, New York at 10:00 A.M.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, New York.
