Ethel M. Printup
Ethel M. Printup, 83, of 3736 Center Road, Jimersontown, New York died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born March 16, 1932 in Red House, New York, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Juanita Bomberry Printup.
Ethel had been employed as a nurse at the former Salamanca District Hospital prior to her retirement. Previously, she was employed with Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Hawk Clan. She was also a member of the Jimersontown Presbyterian Church, the Iroquois Senior Citizens, and the Allegany Temperance League. In her younger years she played in bowling and softball leagues.
Surviving are: a son, Christopher Printup, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Printup and Walton “Turtle” Printup, and two sisters, Elizabeth Printup and Shirley Vanetta.
Friends may call at the family home, 3736 Center Road, Jimersontown, on Saturday after 12 p.m. and continuing all day Sunday.
Funeral services will be held in the Jimersontown Presbyterian Church on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Marvin Abrams, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4955 N Bailey Ave, Suite 217, Amherst, NY 14226.
