Evelyn Lawson

Mrs. Evelyn M. Lawson, age 88, of Killbuck, New York died Wednesday afternoon, May 27, 2015 at her home.

Born April 2, 1927 in Killbuck, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel Layton Schine. She was married on November 23, 1947 to Mr. Arthur Lawson, who predeceased her on January 27, 1993.

She had been employed with Olean Advanced Products for twenty years prior to her retirement.

She was a former member of the Free Methodist Church and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are: two daughters, Karen (Duane) Owens, Killbuck, NY, Carolyn Lawson, Salamanca, NY; three grandchildren, Lisa (Bryant) Morrow, Donte Lawson, Jamaal Lawson, all of Salamanca, NY; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Johnson and Nevaeh Baker, both of Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Arthur Lawson III and seven brothers, Junior LeRoy Schine, Aden Schine, Clifford Schine, Clyde “Ralph” Schine, Fred Schine, Craig Schine, and Kirk Schine.

There will be no visitation or services.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
