Mr. Floyd Conner, age 88, of Jamestown, New York, formerly of East state Street, Salamanca, New York, died Monday morning, November 22, 2010 at W.C.A. Hospital, Jamestown, New York.
Born on December 17, 1921 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late James and Anna Schol Conner. He was married to the former Twila Neal who predeceased him on December 7, 2004.
Mr. Conner was employed as a dispatcher on the B & O Railroad for over 30 years retiring in 1984.
He was a member of the F & AM Lodge #1178 in Great Valley and the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535.
Surviving are: a son, Michael (Annemarie) Conner, Lighthouse Point, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Moria (Jeff) Fountaine, Fort Worth, Texas, Adriana (Andy) Douglas, Peachtree City, Georgia, Ryan Conner, lighthouse Point, Florida; 2 great grandchildren, Brayden and Nathan Douglas, both of Peachtree City, Georgia; a sister, Vivian Craton ,Los Angeles, California; a brother, George Conner, Jamestown, New York; several nieces and nephews
There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association.
