Frances A. Rychcik

Mrs. Frances A. Rychcik, age 79 , formerly of Salamanca, New York died Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Bradford Ecumenical Home, Bradford, PA.

Born on October 17, 1936 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Antonucci Occhuizzo. She was married on September 17, 1955 in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church to Mr. Stanley Rychcik Jr. who predeceased her on October 11, 1998.

Mrs. Rychcik was employed with the Salamanca School System working in Food Service for over 30 years prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She loved summer, roses, the scent of lilacs and the color pink. Most of all she loved her Lord and family; for these last two were the source of her greatest joy.

Surviving are: 1 daughter, Mrs. Linda (Steve) Grzesik, Treasure Island, Florida; 3 sons, Mr. Michael (Mary) Rychcik, Salamanca, New York, Mr. James (Jodi) Rychcik, Raleigh, N.C.., Mr. Joseph (Dona) Rychcik, Youngstown, New York; 3 granddaughters, Brianna Rychcik, Carrollwood, Florida, Alyssa Rychcik, Buffalo, NY, Shaelyn Rychcik, Raleigh, N.C., 4 grandsons, Brandon and Shane Rychcik, both of Salamanca, N.Y. , Joshua Rychcik, Carrollwood, Florida, Dylan Rychcik, Randolph, N.Y.; 3 great grandchildren, Miley, Hudson, Lincoln Rychcik, all of Salamanca, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 4 sisters, Mary Rivetti, Rose Boyce, Josephine Bell, Alvena Andrews, 2 brothers, Anthony Ochuizzo and Ben Ochuizzo.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Peter Napierkowski, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
