George A. Bryant Sr.
Mr. George A. Bryant Sr., 78 of Route 353, Salamanca, New York died early Sunday morning at his home surrounded by his family.
Born December 10, 1933 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Howard and Della Lowther Bryant. He was married on April 12, 1954 to former Patricia Wolford who predeceased him on May 15, 2012.
Mr. Bryant was employed for many years as a heavy equipment operator for the former Haley Construction Company in Little Valley, New York, and later at the former Environ Gas Company in Mayville, New York. He was a social member of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post # 535, Veterans of Foreign Wars John Ahrens Post 35296, enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are: 5 daughters, Vicki Wagoner, Salamanca, New York, Cheryl (Denny) DeBoy, Great Valley, New York, Catherine (Richard Tucker) Shinners, Little Valley, New York, Bonnie (Wayne Condo) Krape, Mill Hall, PA, Louise (Steve Tome) Bryant, Salamanca, New York; 2 sons, Bruce Bryant, Sawmill Run, Little Valley, New York, George ( Shelley) Bryant Jr., Sawmill Run, Little Valley, New York; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers-in-law whom he raised:, Joseph Wolford, Salamanca, New York, John Wolford, Salamanca, New York; One brother Courtney (Patricia) Ellicottville, NY, one sister Edna Cole, Erie PA, several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bryant was predeceased by one brother David Bryant and one sister Ruth Terhune.
Private visitation and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York
