Mr. James Poole, age 63, of Bucktooth Run Road, Little Valley, New York died Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.
Born on January 18, 1948 in Salamanca, New York, he was the son of Eva Thompson Poole and the late Harry Poole.
Mr. Poole was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in Guam and Germany during the Vietnam Conflict
He was employed as an engineer for the B & O Railroad and CSX prior to his retirement
Mr. Poole was a member of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post # 535, and the Veterans of Foreign War John Ahrens Post # 5296, he enjoyed his family and friends.
Surviving are: 2 daughters, Joselyn Poole, Lauren Poole; both of Salamanca, NY, a son, Bradley (Stephanie Adams) Poole, Little Valley, NY ; 2 grandchildren; a brother, William "Butch" (Jeanne) Poole, Jamestown, New York; 2 sisters, Pamela (Ted) Vreeland, Tampa, Florida, Barbara (William) Weiss, Savonna, New York; several nieces and nephews and his soul mate Delores "Dee" Woodmansee, Salamanca, New York
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held in the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday (April 16, 2010) at 1:00 PM with Deacon Michael Anderson officiating.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family
Full Military Honors will be performed by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post # 535, and the Veterans of Foreign War John Ahrens Post # 5296,
