James S. "Woogie" Redeye Jr.

James S. "Woogie" Redeye Jr., 51, of Kill Buck, New York, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 shortly after being admitted to the Olean General Hospital.

Born October 5, 1962 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the James and Judith Cooper Redeye Sr. He was married on October 9, 1993 to the former Reggie Buck, who survives.

He was a self-employed logger.

Woogie was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, the Coldspring Longhouse, Turtle Clan, Allegany Singers Society, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping.

Surviving besides his wife are: 5 sons, Daniel Redeye, Jimersontown, NY, Randy Redeye, Marcus Redeye, Billybear Redeye, Buck Redeye, all of Kill Buck, NY; 2 sisters, Marjory (John) Newark, Salamanca, NY, Ann Marie Redeye, Gowanda, NY; 1 brother, Stewart "Dotsie" (Dawn) Redeye, Kill Buck, NY; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Jacob Redeye and a sister, Lori Redeye.

Friends may call at the family home, 3631 North Authority Road, Kill Buck, New York on Saturday after 3 P.M. and all day Sunday.

Funeral services will begin in the family home on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 8:30 A.M. followed by services in the Coldspring Longhouse at 10 A.M.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, New York.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
