Joanne H. Tansimore, 70, of Kill Buck, New York died Sunday afternoon, August 3, 2014 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York following a long illness.
Born September 6, 1943 in Salamanca, New York, she is the daughter of Lorena Howe Perkins, Salamanca, New York and the late Eugene Perkins.
She was married November 3, 1961 to the late John Randall who predeceased her in 1987. She had remarried the late Charles Tansimore who predeceased her in 2010.
Mrs. Tansimore enjoyed knitting, bowling, and her cat, Missy. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her mother are: 3 daughters, Kim (James) Fedorowicz, Great Valley, NY, Karen (Matthew) Stokes, Cattaraugus, NY, Tammy (William) Levine, Salamanca, NY; 1 brother, Allen (Connie) Perkins, Great Valley, NY; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Carol Passmore.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Home Care and Hospice, 1225 West State Street, Olean, New York.
