Joseph D. Ferraro
Joseph D. Ferraro, age 73, of 154 Center Street, Salamanca, New York died Sunday (July 20, 2008) at his home following a long illness.
Born on October 6, 1934 in Jamestown, New York he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Ferraro. He was married on May 21, 1988 in Great Valley, New York to the former Barbara Taylor Green Ferraro, who survives.
Mr. Ferraro was employed at Chase Interiors, Jamestown, New York for 14 years prior to his retirement. He had previously been employed with the city of Jamestown for over 17 years.
He had bowled for the American Legion bowling team and was an avid bingo player.
Surviving besides his wife are: 2 daughters, Joanne Roberts, Lakewood, NY and Patty Jo (R.J.) Scaglione, Clearwater, Flordia; 4 sons, Joseph Ferraro, Jamestown, NY, Stephen (Amanda) Serrano, Jamestown, NY, Matt Ferraro, Olean, New York and Christopher Ferraro, Salamanca, NY; 7 step children, Greg Crandall, Falconer, NY Thomas Crandall, Falconer, NY, Thomas Crandell, Jacksonville, FL, Rodney "Dutch" Crandall, Pigeon Forge, TN, Terri Feneram, Salamanca, NY, Norman (Margaret) Green, Salamanca, New York, Pamela (Larry) Fisher, Killbuck, NY, Wendy Green, Little Valley, NY; many grandchildren; 2 brothers Sam (Jacye) Ferraro, Jamestown, NY and Frank Ferraro, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 RIver Street, Salamanca, New York on Wednesday (July 23, 2008) from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday (July 24, 2008) in Our Lady of Peace Church (St. Patricks) with Rev. Piotr Zaczynski, pastor as celebrant.
