Joyce E. Oglevee
Joyce E. Oglevee, 84, formerly of Salamanca, New York, died Thursday morning, March 26, 2015 at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Jamestown, New York.
Born September 7, 1930 in Jamestown, New York, she was the daughter of the late Gustuv and Ebba Lind Dahlgren. She was married on October 10, 1955 to Mr. Hugh Oglevee, who survives.
She was a graduate of Jamestown High School.
Mrs. Oglevee was employed at Bradhams Electronics, Sears, and several music stores in Miami Beach, Florida.
She was a member of the United Congregational Methodist Church, Salamanca, New York, where she was a volunteer in the kitchen and involved in the Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed reading, nurturing her family, and travelling to Cape Hatteras.
Surviving are: a daughter, Nance (Garth) Jackson, Little Valley, NY; two sons, Scott (Deborah) Oglevee, Dover, MA, Daniel (Lorri) Oglevee, Little Valley, NY; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (C. William) Glatz, Jamestown, NY; two brothers, Richard (Shirley) Dahlgren, Everett, WA, her twin brother, James (Shirley) Dahlgren, Minneapolis, MN; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel in the Lutheran Home, 715 Falconer St, Jamestown, NY with Pastor Daniel Rumfelt officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
