Judy Hunt

Mrs. Judy Hunt, age 70, of Salamanca, New York died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her home following a long illness surrounded by her family.

Born on August 31, 1943 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Gerald & Mary Beatty Young. She was married on June 6, 1964 to Mr. William Hunt who survives.

Mrs. Hunt was employed as the Office Manager at the former Hazard-Rhodes Insurance Company in Salamanca.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and Elkdale Country Club.

Surviving besides her husband are: 2 sons, James (Laurie) Hunt, Salamanca, New York, Thomas (Shawne) Hunt, Great Valley, New York; 2 daughters, Laura (Paul Zajac) Hunt, White Lake, Michigan, Mary (Steve) McCord, Salamanca, New York; 9 grandchildren, William Hunt, Lauren Hunt, Kyle Hunt, all of Salamanca, New York, Elizabeth Hunt, Madeline Hunt, White Lake, Michigan, Kaleigh Hunt, Alexander Hunt, both of Great Valley, New York, Brennen Nolet, Addison McCord, both of Salamaca, New York; 3 sisters, Diane (Daniel) Dolecki, Salamanca, New York, Barbara (Jack) Gould, Florida, Patricia Yehl, Salamanca, New York; 4 brothers, Donald (Nin Abrams) Young, Salamanca, New York, David (Flo) Young, North Carolina, Jerome (Kim) Young, Salamanca, New York, Dennis Young, Olean, New York; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Juanita Smallman and JoAnn Haley.

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 12 p.m. in Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Joseph Porpiglia of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Gowanda, New York, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
