Lawrence Michael Quigley
Lawrence Michael Quigley, 48, of Salamanca, New York died Saturday evening, August 8, 2015 at the Veterans Affairs WNY Healthcare System, Buffalo, New York.
Born August 29, 1966 in Salamanca, New York, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Alfreda Skudlarek Quigley.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as an electrician stationed at the Miramar Air Station in San Diego, CA. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and was awarded several training certificates in the electrical field.
Mr. Quigley had been employed as a driver for the Southern Tier Taxi Service in Salamanca. He was previously employed in sales and delivery for Bedell’s in Salamanca.
Surviving are: 3 sisters, Anne (David) Wiens, Gowanda, NY, Elizabeth (Tom) Brown, Houston, TX, Catherine (George Haas) Quigley, Great Valley, NY; a brother, Thomas (Martha) Quigley, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held in the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, on the Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 11 am to 1 pm at which time a memorial service will be held with Deacon Robert Colomai officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the memorial fund at the Veterans Affairs WNY Healthcare System, 3495 Bailey Ave, Buffalo, NY 14215.
