Mrs. Luwella F. Sage, age 85, formerly of 44 Seneca Street, Salamanca, New York and Central Avenue, Salamanca, New York died Thursday evening, March 22, 2007 at The Waters of Salamanca following a long illness.
Born on March 9, 1922 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Elizabeth Trumble Letson. She was married on August 3, 1941 in Salamanca, New York to Mr. Ernest Sage who predeceased her on December 10, 1981.
Mrs. Sage was employed at Davis Dry Cleaning for over 10 years as a seamstress. She also worked as an Aide at Prospect Elementary School, the former Ickey's Bakery, Sheble & Wood Woolen Mills. She enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing, craft works, and she was an avid gardener.
Surviving are: 2 sons, Mr. Bruce Sage, Salamanca, New York, Ernest (Monica) Sage, East Randolph, New York; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Vanessa Sage, a son Gary Sage, a daughter-in-law, Betty Sage.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
Funeral services will be held in the fuenral home on Sunday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Richard Michael Nolder, pastor of the Living Waters Church, Olean, New York officating.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
