Margaret Windsor

Mrs. Margaret Green Sheridan Windsor, 95, formerly of East State Street, Salamanca, New York and Randolph Manor, Randolph, New York died Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Gowanda, New York.

Born February 7, 1921 in Mansfield, New York, she was the daughter of the late Niles and Lois Johnson Green.

Mrs. Windsor had been employed at Empire Wood in Ellicottville, Bush Industries in Little Valley, Motorola in Arcade, and Stardell in Franklinville.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doing crafts, drawing, and reading.

Surviving are: two sons, Carl Sheridan, Cattaraugus, NY, Cleo (Mary) Sheridan, Dayton, TX; three daughters, Diane Oyler, NC, Sandy (James) Payne, Cattaraugus, NY, Althea Sturtevant, Salamanca, NY; 23 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Louis Sheridan, four brothers, Joseph Green, Charles Green, Alvin Green, Howard Green, three sisters, Maribel Graves, Huldah Meacham, Emily Ditcher, and three half-brothers, Walter Green, Frank Green, and Fred Green.

A memorial service will be held at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Sue Fish, of the First Congregational Church of Little Valley, officiating.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Home and the Randolph Manor.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice.
