Marjorie J. Krantz

Mrs. Marjorie J. Krantz, 85, of Salamanca, NY died Thursday morning, February 4, 2021 at home following a short illness.

Born July 20, 1935 in Salamanca, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Whitmer Mosher. She was married on June 21, 1958 in the former First Methodist Church, Salamanca, to Mr. Gary “Coop” Krantz, who survives.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1953.

Marge, along with her husband, co-owned and operated the former Beigel Hotel in Salamanca. She had also been employed at Holiday Valley, Ellicottville, the former Fishers Big Wheel, the former First Trust Union Bank, and the former Puritan Restaurant, all in Salamanca, NY.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the outdoors, boating, camping, traveling, and going out dancing with her husband.

Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Lori (Terry) Koniak, Salamanca, NY; a granddaughter, Leigh Ann (Dan) Bialaszewski, Salamanca, NY; a grandson, Howard “HR” Stark, Glenwood, FL; three great-grandsons, Wyatt, Brycen, and Emmett Bialaszewski, all of Salamanca; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her infant son, Jay Tucker Krantz, her daughter, Lindi Stark, and her sister, Marilyn Debalski.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Wildwood Cemetery on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 1pm.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or EARS, P.O. Box 445, Salamanca, NY.
