Mary C. Kerr
Mrs. Mary C. Nobles Kerr, age 87, formerly of East Syracuse, NY and New Bern, NC died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Syracuse Home Association, Baldwinsville, NY.
Born on April 21, 1924 in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of the late Frank & Josephine Lenda Nobles. She was married on July 12, 1952 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Buffalo, NY to Mr. Daniel P. Kerr, who survives.
Mrs. Kerr was a 1941 graduate of Salamanca High School. She attended Buffalo General Hospital Nursing School and graduated as a Registered Nurse on September 23, 1945.
Mrs. Kerr focused on being a homemaker and raising 5 children during the 1950's and 1960's.
She was a School Nurse-Teacher for East Syracuse-Minoa Central Schools in East Syracuse during the 1970's and 1980's.
Surviving besides her husband are: 3 sons, Stephen (Robin) Kerr, Stephens City, VA, Daniel (Elaine) Kerr, Boise, ID, John Kerr, Salina, UT; 2 daughters, Ann (Robert) Rahaley, Adelaide, Australia, Catherine Kerr, Chittenango, NY; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may attend a memorial visitation on Friday evening, November 18, 2011 from 7 â€“ 9 P.M. in the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
A Memorial mass will be held on Saturday morning, November 19, 2011 at 9:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Salamanca, NY with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
