Rhea J. Boza

Rhea Jeanette Boza, age 84, of Kill Buck, New York died peacefully and surrounded by her children on Sunday morning (August 5, 2012) at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, New York.

As a life-long resident of Salamanca, she was born June 12, 1928 to the late William and Catherine Rau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Boza.

Rhea’s life revolved around raising her children and traveling to visit her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Kill Buck Fireman’s Auxiliary for 60 years and was employed at the Salamanca Penny Saver for several years.

Rhea and Chuck are survived by 3 daughters, Shirley (Doug) Scholl, East Hartland, CT, Charlene (Byron) McMillen, Beckville, TX, Sally (Philip) Bleier, Batavia, NY; 1 son, Mike Boza, Arcade, NY; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Emilie Harold, Englewood, FL; 2 brothers, Bill Rau, Great Valley, NY, Doug Rau, Salamanca, NY.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Tuesday, August 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Salamanca Public Library.
