Thomas Blodgett

Born December 21, 1929 died on May 24, 2018.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife Ofelia Canto Blodgett whom he married July 21, 1996; children, Kathleen(James) Dumas (Homestead, FL), Maureen Benz (N. Sacramento, Ca.); Michael T. Blodgett (Midland, Tx.); Anne Lang (Ft. McCoy, Fl.), and adopted children, James Nohlquist (Rochester, NY) and Ninfa Noval (San Fransisco, CA); and grandchildren; Annette and William Dumas; Nathan, Theresa, Joshua Wilshusen; Shawn and Thomas Stoddard; Melissa Yetkin and Tonya Blodgett; Ristina (Lang) Durivage, Allison Lang , and Deborah (Lang) Turner; And 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Lois A. McMullen (wife); grand daughter Serena Stoddard; daughter Arlene Wilshusen.

Thomas retired from the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Electrical Division in 1985; Thomas retired to Ocala Florida in 1988 where he worked as a driving instructor, over the road trucker and volunteered in the Pilipino American Club. Thomas is a member of Saint Theresa’s R.C. Church in Belleview and a member of the Moose Club. Thomas had a private pilot license at age 16 before he had a driver’s license. Thomas was very active in the flying community, hung up his wings six years ago and now has a new set.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY at 1:30 p.m. with Deacon Michael Anderson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.
