Timothy J. Hubbard
Mr. Timothy J. Hubbard "Hub", 49 of Erie Street Salamanca, New York died Wednesday morning (June 25, 2008) at the Olean General Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 20, 1959 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Francis and Bernice Burt Hubbard.
Mr. Hubbard was a 1977 graduate of Salamanca Central High School.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1978 to 1981 where he served a year in Germany.
Mr. Hubbard owned and operated a private taxi service in Olean and Salamanca.
He was a member of the Erie Street Poker Club, the Friday Night Bowling League, enjoyed playing cards, coached pee-wee football in Olean, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Surviving are his companion of the last seventeen years, Karen Gayton, Erie Street, Salamanca, NY, five sons; Timothy John Hubbard II, Buffalo, NY, Arnold Hubbard Marvin Hubbard, both of Erie Street, Salamanca, NY, Thomas Wright, Yuma, AZ, Jason Wright, Salamanca, NY three grandchildren, four brothers, Dennis (Rose) Hubbard, Eldred, PA, Kenneth (Marian) Hubbard, Salamanca,NY, James (Sheila) Hubbard, Glendale, AZ, William (Amber) Hubbard, Orlando, FL, three sisters, Patricia Reed, Olean, NY, Arlett Hubbard, Vandalia, NY, Debra (Steve) Sheppard, Grove City, UT, several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by a brother in 1992, Thomas Hubbard and a sister in 2004, Judy Connell.
