Tina M. Christiansen

Tina M. Christiansen, age 48, of Center Road, Jimersontown, New York, died Friday afternoon at her home, August 1, 2014 following a long illness.

Born February 22, 1966 in Batavia, NY, she was the daughter of Vera Redeye Smith of Irving, NY and the late Robert Mack.

She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, Deer Clan.

She had attended PS45 in Buffalo, NY as well as Lafayette High School.

She was a homemaker and prior to her disability, she had been employed at the Easy Shop in Springville, NY.

Tina loved her animals, especially her cats. She was an avid Bingo player. She will be remembered for her jokes that made you laugh and how much of a giving person she was.

Surviving besides her mother are, 1 son; Jordan (Morgan Vail) Christiansen, Salamanca, NY: 2 daughters; Erin Christiansen and Jodi Christiansen both of Buffalo, NY: 5 sisters, Linda Logan, Salamanca, NY; Sharon Chamberlain, Irving, NY; Patricia Marlin, Salamanca, NY; Marilyn Smith, Buffalo, NY; Jackie Smith, Salamanca, NY: 3 brothers; Gregory “Smitty” Smith, Basom, NY; Leo Smith, Buffalo, NY; and Gary Smith, Irving, NY: 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 1 son, James A. Christiansen.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Monday 3 pm to 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 2 pm with the Rev. Marvin Abrams, pastor of the Jimersontown Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery in Jimersontown.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Friends of Strays.
