Alan D. Manners

Alan D. Manners, 62, of Little Valley, NY, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, May 20, 2021.

Born May 15, 1959 in Cuba, NY, he was the son of the late Theodore Manners and Mary Hopkins Hall.

He was a graduate of Richburg High School, Class of 1977.

Alan had been employed as a truck and snowplow driver with the Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works for over 20 years and had just retired.

He enjoyed spending his free time traveling, hunting, fishing, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He was always quick to volunteer to help out friends and family, no matter what the task.

Surviving are: two daughters, Lisa Manners, Marianne Manners, both of St. Petersburg, FL; two sons, Adam Cass, Little Valley, NY, Jesse Manners, St. Petersburg, FL; a granddaughter, Hannah Cass, Litle Valley, NY; three sisters, Bonnie (David) Shaner, Denise Manners, both of St. Petersburg, Karen Manners, Olean, NY; a brother, William Manners, League City, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his companion, Mary Burdick, West Seneca, NY.

He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Manners.

There will be no visitation.

A family celebration of life will be held at a time and place to be determined.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to The American Heart Association, 185 Hospital Drive, Warren, PA 16365.
