Alexander Jimerson

Mr. Alexander Jimerson (Wah Tah Od Deh), age 76, formerly of Chestnut Street, Salamanca, died Thursday evening, June 10, 2010, at the Absolut at Salamanca.

Born on October 10, 1933 in Coldspring, NY, he was the son of the late Francis Jimerson and Gineva Warrior Jones. He was a member of the Onondaga Nation and the Heron Clan. He was married to the late Pauline Dowdy Jimerson, who predeceased him in May of 1999.

He was a veteran of the US Army.

Mr. Jimerson was employed with the Erie Railroad for over 35 years. He was a member of the Ellicottville American Legion Post #659. He was an avid bingo player, and loved the game.

Surviving are: 9 children, Mr. Raymond (Betheny) Jimerson of Salamanca, Mrs. Tina (David) Richardson, of Killbuck, NY, Mr. Arnold (Laurie) Jimerson, Olean, NY, Mrs. Melinda (Randall) Reed, Salamanca, NY, Mrs. Christine Milks, Killbuck, NY, Mr. James (Shelly) Jimerson, Salamanca, NY, Mrs. Patricia (Norman) Jimerson, Killbuck, NY, Mr. David (Rose) Jimerson, Jimersontown, NY, and Mrs. Andrea (Dustin) Silsby, Killbuck, NY; a brother, Lavern (Loretta) Jimerson, Bradford, PA; a sister, Gladys Jones, Jimersontown, NY; a half-sister, Rose Colvert, Steamburg, NY; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by: 3 brothers, Victor Fatty, Kenneth Fatty, Calvin Fatty.

Friends may call at the family home, 3612 South Authority Road Killbuck, NY, beginning Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. Funeral services will be held at the family home on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by services at the Coldspring Longhouse at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg.
