Amanda M. Story

Amanda M. Story, 39, of Salamanca, NY, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 28, 2023 at home following a long illness.

Born March 21, 1984 in Gowanda, NY she was the daughter Kristine Huber (Daniel) Botsford, Watsontown, PA. She was married on August 24, 2013 at the former UCMC Church (Riverside Chapel), Salamanca, NY to Scott Story, who survives.

She was a graduate of Cattaraugus Little Valley High School, Class of 2002.

Amanda had been employed as an assistant manager with Myers Steakhouse & Inn, Salamanca, NY for over seven years. She had previously been employed with the Salamanca Central School District.

She attended Riverside Chapel. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, taking them to the movies and shopping. Amanda also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, traveling, and will be remembered for her talents in cooking and baking.

Surviving besides her mother and husband are: two sons, Dimitrious Taylor, Nikolaos Story, both of Salamanca, NY; two aunts Elaine McHardy, Jupiter, FL, Merrie (Dereck) Maxon, Angola, NY; two uncles, Devin (Danielle) Huber, Little Valley, NY, Bill (Melissa) Huber, Springville, NY; two maternal grandmothers, Barbara (Kenneth) McClune, Salamanca, NY, Ruth Huber, Little Valley, NY; in-laws Dana and Ellen Story, Great Valley, NY; several cousins.

She was predeceased by a maternal grandfather, Bud Huber, and an uncle, Paul McHardy.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 2pm - 4pm at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Michael Lonto officiating.
