Anna Lockwood

Mrs. Anna Lockwood, age 84, of Pumpkin Hollow Road, Humphrey, New York, died early Monday morning, Dec. 1, 2008 at her home following a long illness.

Born on December 6, 1923 in Braddock, Pa. she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Panosian Kazanjian. She was married on February 26, 1943 in Cuba, New York to Mr. William Lockwood who predeceased her in 1984.

Mrs. Lockwood was a homemaker and helped operate the former Lockwood Dairy Farm in Humphrey, New York.

She was a lifetime member of the Humphrey Volunteer Fire Company. She enjoyed gardening, baking, puzzles, knitting, and she was avid reader. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and was a good friend to her neighbors. She loved her constant companion "Tippy" her cat and she will be remembered for her "Grandma cookies".

Surviving are a daughter, Mary "Sue" (Mike) Washington, Allegany, New York; 2 sons, A. John (Sandy) Lockwood, Humphrey, New York, Robert (Julie) Lockwood, Newton Street, Salamanca, New York; 3 grandaughters, 5 grandsons; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Minus Kazanjian and Agha Kazanjian.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Tuesday from 4 -7 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Donald Acker officiating.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery,Great Valley, New York.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Humphrey Volunteer Fire Dept.
