Barbara Skiver

Barbara Skiver, 61, of Kill Buck, NY died Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.

Born April 29, 1960 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of James Sr. and Janet Stevens Skiver of Kill Buck, NY.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1978.

Barbara had been employed in the housekeeping department of the Seneca Allegany Casino for six years and she had also worked at Highland Plastics, Salamanca, NY.

She enjoyed her pet cats, playing games on her tablet, and had previously enjoyed the outdoors and camping.

Surviving besides her parents are: two brothers, Jeffrey Skiver, Hickory NC, Daniel (Brenda Sauer) Skiver, Allegany, NY; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Amanda, and Brandon.

She was predeceased by a brother, James H. Skiver Jr.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to the SPCA, 2944 NY-16, Olean, NY 14760 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
