Barry L. Andrews

Barry L. Andrews, 64, of Great Valley, NY died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Absolut Care of Salamanca following a long illness.

Born December 30, 1953 in Nuremburg, Germany, he was the son of Lois Rooks Fish of Allegany, NY and the late Lester C. Andrews.

Mr. Andrews was a graduate of Ellicottville Central School, Class of 1972.

He owned and operated Bear’s Taxidermy for over 20 years.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ellicottville, NY, the Cattaraugus County Trapper’s Association, and the NRA. He was an avid hunter and trapper.

Surviving besides his mother are: a brother, Jerry (Sandy) Andrews, Great Valley, NY; four nephews, Scott (Tricia) Andrews, Great Valley, NY and Marcus (Kate) Andrews, Great Valley, NY, Christopher (Barb) Sage, Randolph, NY, Cody (Kelsey) Sage, KY; a niece, Breanne (Dustin) Hale, Randolph, NY; and his beloved dog, Missy.

He was predeceased by a sister, Monica Sage.

Per his request, there will be no visitation or funeral services.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 6360 Rt 242, Ellicottville, NY 14731.
