Bernice Mangalsingh

Bernice Mangalsingh, 72, of Salamanca, NY died Monday morning, January 8, 2018 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Erie, PA following a long illness.

Born August 25, 1945 in Harris Village, Trinidad and Tobago, she was the daughter of the late William and Hessie Seethal Mangalsingh.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, dancing, and playing Bingo. She loved her automobiles and listening to music, especially Elvis. She had great faith and will be remembered for her joyous personality and her West Indian cooking.

She was a former member of a non-denominational church in Boynton, FL, in which she was very active.

Surviving are: three sons, Theodore Leder, Salamanca, NY, Ronald Leder Jr., Tampa, FL, Shane (Tracy) Leder, Boynton, FL; two grandchildren, Ronald Leder III, Savannah Leder, both of Tampa, FL; three sisters, Mary Seville, Barbados, Elizabeth Desilva, Sydney, Australia, Flakes Mangalsingh, Philadelphia, PA; three brothers, Ramald (Kay) Mangalsingh, Olean, NY, Darwin Mangalsingh, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Baldwin Mangalsingh, Port St. Lucy, FL; her godson, Nicholas Khadar, Queens, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Maria Elana Leder.

There will be no visitation.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
