Betty Fisher

Mrs. Betty Fisher, age 59, of 415 Court Street, Little Valley, New York formerly of Clinton Street, Salamanca, New York died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, New York following a brief illness.

Born on March 12, 1951 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Robert and Sophie Kowalski Bess. She was married in St. Patrick's Church on October 25, 1969 to Mr. Richard Fisher who predeceased her on July 21, 2004.

She was a member of the Holy Cross Athletic Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535, and the Ladies auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296.

Surviving are: 2 daughters, Joy (Richard)Rilling, Clarksville, TN, Jill Schulz, Little Valley, New York; 8 grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Beverly ) Bess, Huntingtown, MD ; 3 sisters, Kathy (Ed)Lamberson, Great Valley, New York, Lisa (Ed) Wheeler, Salamanca, New York, Karen Hines; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, new York.
