Camille A. "Chickie" Seitz

Mrs. Camille A. “Chickie” Seitz, age 83, of Salamanca, New York died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Pines Health & Rehab, Olean, New York surrounded by her family.

Born April 29, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Subkoviak Gengo. She was married in the former St. Patrick’s Church on April 4, 1951 to Mr. Alfred Seitz, who survives. They would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this year.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and the former St. Patrick’s Church. A homemaker, Chickie enjoyed spending time with her family. Her hobbies over the years included Bingo, knitting, painting ceramics, and puzzles. She was a two-time cancer survivor.

Surviving besides her husband are: her children, Nancy (Tom Biruk) Smith, Cortland, NY, David Seitz, Fontana, CA, Tom (Sharon Viehdeffer) Seitz, Batavia, NY, Ann (Toby) Hawkins, Olean, NY; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann (Gregory) Foster, Morresville, NC; a brother-in-law, James (Sammy) Seitz, Paso Robles, CA; three sisters-in-law, Rose Seitz, Salamanca, NY, Mary Jane Seitz, Jupiter, FL, Roseann Gengo, Folly, AL; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Gengo.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held in the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Deacon Michael Anderson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.

Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy, Amherst, NY 14228.
