Cardell M. Johnson

Cardell M. Johnson, 4, of Kill Buck, NY, died Friday, January 26, 2024 at Oishei Children’s Hospital, Buffalo, NY following a short illness.

Born August 20, 2019 in Olean, NY, he was the son of Jordan Johnson, Salamanca, NY and Kerstin Shinners, Kill Buck, NY.

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Hawk Clan.

Cardell enjoyed being with his grandparents, going to the beach, and playing with his friends.

Surviving besides his parents are: a sister, Jocelyn Johnson, Kill Buck, NY; a brother, Jalen Johnson, Salamanca, NY; maternal grandparents, Jeanette (Gerald) Shinners, Salamanca, NY; paternal grandparents; Bryant (Lisa) Lawson-Morrow, Salamanca, NY; an uncle, Kody Shinners, Salamanca, NY; an aunt, Nevaeh Baker, Salamanca, NY.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 7 – 9pm and Thursday from 1 – 3 and 5 – 7pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Riverside Chapel, 134 Broad Street, Salamanca, NY at 11am with Pastor Ben Good officiating.

Burial will be Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative, 712 Main Street, Suite 103, Buffalo, NY 14202.
