Carol Lowrey

Mrs. Carol Lowrey, age 87, of Salamanca, NY died Tuesday morning, December 19, 2017 at The Absolut of Salamanca.

Born on December 25, 1929 in Nunda, NY she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ada Weeks Dieter. She was married on January 29, 1947 to Mr. William Lowrey who predeceased her on August 28, 1987.

Mrs. Lowrey had been employed in the paint department at the former Seneca Craft prior to her retirement. Previously, she had been employed at Knolls & Fisher in Little Valley, NY.

She was member of the Salvation Army for 58 years and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535.

Surviving are: 3 daughters, Vicki (John) Sampson, Salamanca, NY, Linda Wenzel, Gulfport, MS, Carol “Kay” (Terry) Miles, Hornell, NY; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Doris Hill, Shirley Wilcox, Lois Gayhart, 2 brothers, Vernon Dieter and Paul Weeks.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm at which funeral services will be held with Capt. David Means , of the Salvation Army, officiating.
