Carol Passmore

Mrs. Carol J. Passmore, age 68, of Cleveland Avenue, Salamanca, New York died unexpectedly Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York

Born on July 9, 1941 in Conewango, New York she was the daughter of Lorena Howe Perkins, Great Valley, New York and the late Eugene Perkins. She was married on August 12, 1960 to Mr. Joseph Passmore who survives.

Mrs. Passmore was employed at the Salamanca Pennysaver for 17 years prior to her retirement.

She was a member of A.A.R.P., and enjoyed painting and sewing.

Surviving besides her husband and mother are: 2 daughters, Christine (Jeffrey) Caswell, Derrick City, Pa., Julie Kenyon, Salamanca, New York; 2 grandchildren, Brandon (Chrystal) Caswell, Shannon Caswell, both of Derrick City, Pa.; a brother, Allen (Connie) Perkins, Great Valley, New York; a sister, Joanne (Charles) Tanismore, Killbuck, New York; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Monday from 7-9 P.M. .

Funeral and committal services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday At 11:00 A.M. with Richard Young Assistant Pastor of the Great Valley Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Steamburg Cemetery, Steamburg, New York.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
