Carol Sue DeBoy

Carol Sue DeBoy, 75, of Salamanca, NY, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025 at the Salamanca Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.

Carol is survived by her loving daughter, Richelle (Jack) Gourley; her cherished grandchildren, Michael (Paige) Gourley and Alexis Gourley; her devoted siblings, Dennis (Cheryl) DeBoy, Bruce (Cheryl) DeBoy, Donald DeBoy, all of Great Valley, NY, Dana (Linda) DeBoy, and Diane (Lester) DeBoy-Kenneson of Salamanca, NY; many nieces and nephews; and her dear and longtime friend, Devonia Smith.

She was predeceased by her parents, Richard DeBoy and Eunice Lucille Robison, as well as her brother, Terry DeBoy.

Carol will be remembered for her warm heart, creativity, and love of family. She had a talent for knitting cozy afghans and enjoyed breathing new life into old furniture through refurbishing. A devoted animal lover, she had a special fondness for dogs, especially German Shorthaired Pointers.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carol’s memory to the National German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
