Catherine M. "Kaye" Lewis

Catherine M. “Kaye” Lewis, 83, a 5 ½ year resident of Kane, PA, formerly a lifelong resident of Salamanca, NY died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Kane Lutheran Home, Kane, PA.

Born September 20, 1933 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late M. Paul and Catherine McGurn Halloran. She was married in Bradford, PA on July 1, 1967 to Mr. Edward Lewis, who predeceased her on March 8, 1998.

Mrs. Lewis was employed as a Purchasing Agent at Fancher Furniture Company for 38 years, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Elkdale Country Club, and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Surviving are: a stepdaughter, Linda Haas, Salamanca, NY; a stepson, William (Laura) Lewis, East Amherst, NY; five step-grandchildren; a sister, Deanna (James) Eck, Kane, PA; five nieces; a nephew.

She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Halloran, two sisters, Betty Parker and Patty Halloran.

Memorial visitation will be held in the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 10 – 11 a.m., at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Michael Lonto, pastor of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
