Charles Tansimore
Charles R. Tansimore, age 66, of School Street, Killbuck, died early Friday morning following a long illness.
Born on November 26, 1943, in Fredericksburg, VA, he was the son of the late Charles and Addie Broadus Tansimore. He was married September 3, 1991 in Cattaraugus, NY, to Joanne Perkins Randall Tansimore, who survives.
He drove commercial trucks for over 40 years until he retired with Eagle Express in 2007.
Mr. Tansimore served in the United States Marines, US Army, and the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam.
Mr. Tansimore was a member of the Great Valley United Methodist Church and the Hughes-Skiba American Legion, Post 535. He enjoyed working outdoors and was a collector of model trucks and cars. He also enjoyed singing and music.
Surviving besides his wife are 3 stepdaughters, Kim (James) Fedorowicz of Great Valley, NY, Karen (Matthew) Stokes of Cattaraugus, NY, Tammy (William) Levine of Salamanca; 4 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Elnora (David) Lightfoot of Virginia, Elsie (Harry Robinson) of Virginia; 2 brothers, Joseph (Ernestine) Tansimore of Maryland, Thomas (Barbara Ann) Tansimore Virginia.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Green Cemetery.
