Charlotte M. Dalaba

Mrs. Charlotte M. Dalaba, 75, of Route 417, Kill Buck, New York died Monday morning, June 6, 2016 at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born April 8, 1941 in Salamanca, New York, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Alta Mack Kelley, and a second mother, the late Alice Kelley. Mrs. Dalaba was married to the late Henry L. Dalaba, who predeceased her in 2006.

She had been employed with Motorola in Arcade for almost 10 years and had previously worked for Ontario Knife and Stardell, both formerly in Franklinville.

She attended the Healing Reigns Fellowship in Salamanca. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed word search puzzles. She loved going around to the yard sales and enjoyed listening to country western music. In her younger years, she enjoyed crocheting.

Surviving are: three daughters, Debra Sargent, Kill Buck, NY, Carolyn (David) Freyburger, Salamanca, NY, Virginia (Charlie Higgins) Dalaba, Salamanca, NY; three sons, Dale (Chris) Kelley, Henry Dalaba, Ralph Dalaba, all of Little Valley, NY; two sisters, Janice Walrod, GA, Mary “Maggie” Allen, Little Valley, NY; four brothers, Leo Mack, Ellicottville, NY, Arthur (Reno) Kelley, Ellicottville, NY, Elmer (Sue) Kelley, Cattaraugus, NY, Gary (Virginia) Kelley, West Valley, NY; a sister-in-law, Sharon Kelley, Arcade, NY; a brother-in-law, Arthur (Sandy) Dalaba, Salamanca, NY; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Sharon Dalaba, three sisters, Bernice Decker, Margaret Kenyon, Diane Smith, and two brothers, Ralph Kelley and Dean Kelley.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 13, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the United Congregational Methodist Church, 134 Broad Street, Salamanca, with Pastor Wally Mapes of the Healing Reigns Fellowship officiating.
