Charlotte W. McCann

Charlotte W. McCann, 94, of Angola, NY died Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Buffalo Mercy Hospital following a short illness.

Born January 21, 1930 in Cuba, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Lester Balcom. She was married on January 5, 1963 in Alden, NY to Tom McCann, who predeceased her in 1994.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School Class of 1947.

Charlotte had been employed and was still actively working as an accountant with Stimm Associates, Buffalo, NY for over 35 years and had previously co-owned and operated the Tom McCann Business Services with her late husband. She faithfully watched Western New York Unleashed, a weekly church service and had a deep Christian faith.

Surviving are: a brother, Henry (Shirley) Balcom, Lancaster, PA; a sister, Mary Jo Noia, Angola, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Dickinson, a brother, Leigh Balcom, and two dear friends, Herbert Cox, and William Kohler.

Memorial visitation will be held at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 10:30 – 11:30am, at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Roger Griffiths officiating.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
