Chong Callen

Mrs. Chong Callen, age 63, of 44 Seneca Street, Salamanca, New York died early Wednesday morning, May 18, 2011 at The Absolut of Allegany, New York following a short illness.

Born on July 16, 1947 in Seoul, South Korea. She was married in Seoul, South Korea on June 11, 1970 to Mr. Damen Callen while he was serving in the U.S. Army. He predeceased her on April 26, 2002.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Salamanca, New York. She enjoyed doing crafts and working in her garden. She was very generous to others.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Tony (Asheley) Callen, Clarksville, Tennessee, Tommas (Sheila) Callen, Allegany, New York; a daughter, Nancy Callen, Portland, Oregon; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Central Avenue, Salamanca, New York with Elder Peter Haig officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York .
