Christopher K. Brown
Christopher “Moose” Brown, 64, of Great Valley, NY passed away Thursday morning, September 5, 2024 at home with his family by his side.
Born August 7, 1960 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late and great Kenneth and Betty Anderson Brown. He was married for 44 years to the former Victoria Eckley, who survives.
Moose was a graduate of Perdue High School, Class of 1979, which “Started Him Up” on the path of living a life as sweet as “Brown Sugar” and as lively as “Wild Horses”.
The devoted husband and father, along with his wife owned and operated The Ski Depot and The Ellicottville Depot Restaurant, the latter of which continues to be a beloved staple of the tight-knit ski and snowboard town.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in tandem an avid skier, a devoted Rolling Stones fan, a passionate fisherman, and a local comedian who effortlessly grasped the role of being the life of the party. Moose will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him but those who love him will forever remember and cherish the moments that were shared and the memories that will last a lifetime.
Surviving besides his wife are: his twin daughters, Isabella and Gwendolyn Brown, and his sister, Kimberley Brown.
There will be no visitation.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
