Clark M. Printup
Clark M. Printup, 84, of Salamanca, NY died Saturday, December 24, 2022 at home following a long illness.
Born August 22, 1938 in Syracuse, NY he was the son of the late Edward Sr. and Rose Henhawk Printup.
He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Snipe Clan.
Clark attended school at the Onondaga Nation.
He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post 5296.
Clark had been employed as an electrician with the Seneca Nation of Indians, Salamanca, NY for over 20 years and was also self-employed.
He enjoyed watching kids participate in several sporting events and was an avid Master’s Lacrosse player. He also enjoyed Bingo and refereeing Lacrosse and was a bowler in several area leagues.
Surviving are: two daughters, Viola (Rick) Edwards, Alma Printup, both of Onondaga Nation; two sons, Robert Printup, Leonard Printup, both of Onondaga Nation; 62 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, George Printup, two sisters, Sandra Printup, Glorian Schlict, and a brother, Edward Printup Jr.
Friends may call at Coldspring Longhouse beginning Tuesday afternoon December 27, 2022 and continuing all day Wednesday.
Funeral services will be at the Coldspring Longhouse on Thursday at 9am with members of the Coldspring Longhouse officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
Full military honors will be conducted graveside by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post 5296. .
