Claude A. Halsaver

Claude A. Halsaver, age 73, of 28 Chestnut Street, Salamanca, New York died early Thursday morning, June 13, 2013 at The Absolut, Salamanca, New York.

Born on January 28, 1940 in Limestone, New York, he was the son of the late Henry and Hazel Sweet Halsaver. He was married in Angelica, New York on December 15th, 1968 to the former Lucille Dilbert, who survives.

Surviving besides his wife are: 2 daughters, Linda Halsaver, North Carolina, Melody Halsaver, Salamanca, New York; 3 sons, Thomas (Ann) Sibley, Killbuck, New York, Claude Halsaver II, Michigan, Steven Halsaver, Indiana; a sister, Vernetta Chappell, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a former wife, Sylvia Booth, a daughter, Susan Confer, 2 sisters; June Bradley and Hazel Robinson.

There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
