Clay "Butch" Talbot
Clay M. “Butch” Talbot, 73, of Salamanca, NY died unexpectedly Friday, November 5, 2021 at home.
Born April 26, 1948 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Clair W. and Jeannine Walaski Talbot. He was married on January 25, 1975 to the former Gail Williams, who survives.
Butch was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. After being discharged, he worked all his life in construction and driving truck.
He coached the West End Warriors peewee football team for many years and was a member of the square circle club. He drove the #28 racecar at many area tracks. Butch left his legacy wherever he went. He was a dedicated family man and friend and loved so many people. He would give the shirt off his back.
Surviving besides his wife are: three daughters, Kelly (Kevin) Ashe, TN, Tracy (Bob) Casey, TN, Corrie (Adam) Haught, CA; two sons, Richie (Joan) Wojtowicz, Limestone, NY, Jared (Julie) Talbot, Salamanca, NY; grand- and great-grandchildren, Abe, Tyler, Loden, Serena, Kaden, Ember, Logan, Tanner, Fiona, Ellyn, Brantley; two sisters, Carolyn (Myron) Wilson, Salamanca, NY, Cathy (Sonnie) Farr, SC; many friends, too many to list.
There will be no visitation.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
